This simple and quick implementation ensures existing Nexio users will enjoy a hassle-free upgrade to their payments stack.
What is WooCommerce?
WooCommerce is a flexible, open-source commerce solution built on WordPress. The company started in 2008 as WooThemes and in 2017 decided to focus exclusively on eCommerce.
Today, WooCommerce empowers small and medium businesses to build exactly the store they want and sell online. Their legacy as an all-remote company endures, growing from three founders in Norway, the United Kingdom, and South Africa to more than 150 team members in 32 countries.
become Nexio users will likewise enjoy this streamlined integration experience.
Say Woo! for your Commerce
WordPress/WooCommerce allows for third-party plugins to add functionality to their platform. Nexio uses the WooCommerce API to create a plugin that allows credit card processing, payment methods, and other Nexio services to be easily accessible in the back-end of the WordPress site. All of this streamlines the customer’s checkout experience.
Merchants will benefit from this plugin by configuring their merchant accounts and payment methods in their Nexio account, and not having to add additional integrations. Through the Nexio platform, offers can be leveraged through a single point of contact in WordPress on the plugin. As more services are added to the Nexio platform, the plugin will automatically update to support features allowing large to small merchants to streamline their payment offering.
The Technical Nitty-Gritty
Version 1.0.0 focuses on credit card processing, but there are other features included in this version to make it a more robust general availability plugin:

- User Subscription Management
